Description
SHAKESPEARE Galaxy 8′ Heavy-Duty Fiberglass Antenna Extension Mast – 5228
The Shakespeare Galaxy 5228 is a heavy-duty fiberglass extension mast designed to increase the mounting height of a compatible marine antenna. Raising the antenna can improve line-of-sight performance and helps position it above cabins, hardtops, radar arches, and other onboard obstructions.
- Heavy-Duty Construction: Built from high-quality white fiberglass with a substantial 38 mm diameter for demanding marine installations.
- Raises Antenna Height: Helps improve antenna placement and effective range by providing additional clearance above onboard obstructions.
- Standard Marine Threads: Stainless steel upper and lower ferrules feature standard 1″-14 antenna threads.
- Galaxy-Matched Finish: White high-gloss polyurethane finish is designed to resist yellowing and match Shakespeare Galaxy antennas.
- Single-Piece Design: One-section construction requires no mast assembly.
Installation Note: The Shakespeare 5228 requires a Shakespeare 409-R or 410-R mounting kit, sold separately. The antenna, mounting kit, cable, and additional support hardware are not included. The antenna cable can be routed through the mast during installation.
Product Clarification: This product is an antenna extension mast only. It does not transmit or receive VHF signals by itself and must be used with a compatible marine antenna.
