Our Story

False Creek Fuels is a locally owned and operated fuel dock & marine store.  We specialize in marine fuels and proudly serve Marine Formulated ValvTect Marine Fuel!  The Vancouver Fuel Dock is open year ’round, and serves both recreational and commercial vessels.  Our services go far beyond fuels; we have a floating marine store that stocks a huge selection of marine gear – in-store and online! We also offer an oil change service  where we provide you with oil suction – we suck out the used oil and provide you with new oil & filters!

Great service the morning after fireworks in English Bay. Very friendly & helpful. We fueled up and then Mike brought the holding tank pumpout hose to us at the fuel dock to save us re-positioning. Provided tips on holding tank servicing. Very positive experience, thanks!

During a recent gas fill up stop I was welcomed at the Dock by the False Creek Fuels Manager Enoch. He Was extremely pleasant and helpful. Upon arrival I was met on the dock, greeted then I was assisted in “tie-up” of my boat.  A request to “turn off all electronics” was made (for safety/Spark reasons) and I was a briefed on how they would serve me under their Covid rules. The Fuel Dock has their own Covid -19 Processes they follow which is very impressive and caring for their staff and the Boating customers. When I was handed the fuel nozzle for filling I was first offered a choice of plastic bag or Spill pad/wipe to use as protection to avoid direct contact between my hand and the nozzle while filling. The nozzle was taken from me when I completed filling and I was told the charge would be put on my account. No hassle, super fast. Very professional and quick. All with little or no close physical interaction. I was then assisted in exiting the dock by the False creek staff and on my way in an extremely short period of time. Bravo for having Covid-19 protocol, and treating your great staff and your customers with the care they will appreciate!!! A pleasant , safe and efficient experience! Well done!

First timer to do oil change on my Cutwater C28 with a Yanmar 6BY engine. I was so impressed with the VIP service from False Creek Fuel (contacted me a day before on preparing my boat for oil change, ensured the right type of engine oil and if I have the new filter ready). On the day of oil change, the stand beside my boat and walked me through the whole process, re-ensured that the oil I asked for was the right type. The oil change only took less than half hour and the bill for oil (free disposal of old oil and filter) was only a fraction of what it will cost me even if I ask for a “micky mouse” marine mechanic, and oil is cheaper than any of the Marine Supply shop in Vancouver. I am so happy that I finally found someone who care about my boat, 5 stars does not completely reflected their excellent services. Great job and thank you guys. PS they even have a fresh FREE cup of coffee for me when I am done with the oil change.
