Description
The Raymarine RS150 is a remotely mounted high-performance GPS/GNSS receiver for Raymarine navigation systems. Its 72-channel receiver delivers fast 10 Hz position updates and supports multiple satellite constellations and SBAS corrections, making it useful where a dedicated external position source is preferred over an multifunction display’s internal antenna.
Main Features
- 72-channel GNSS receiver with GPS and GLONASS compatibility.
- 10 Hz position updates for responsive vessel tracking and navigation data.
- SBAS support including WAAS, EGNOS, MSAS and GAGAN where available.
- SeaTalk NG / NMEA 2000 networking for sharing position data across the vessel.
- Low-profile remote mounting with optional pole-mount capability.
Why use an external GNSS sensor
An external sensor is valuable where a display is mounted under a hardtop, inside a pilothouse or near sources of interference. Position data can then be distributed to chartplotters, instruments and other networked devices.
System integration
RS150 connects directly to a SeaTalk NG backbone and can be adapted to NMEA 2000 DeviceNet networks. It is a position receiver, not a true-heading sensor; owners needing heading for radar stabilization should consider an EV-1, AR200 or dedicated heading solution.
Installation
Mount the sensor with a clear view of the sky and away from high-power transmitters or magnetic interference sources.
