A properly installed and commissioned Reactor 40 can hold heading, follow navigation commands from compatible Garmin chartplotters and reduce steering workload. Autopilot performance depends on vessel setup, sea conditions and correct calibration.
This package is intended for steer-by-wire. Pump capacity, steering cylinder displacement, engine configuration and control interface are critical selection factors; do not select an autopilot corepack by display preference alone.
NMEA 2000 allows compatible chartplotters and GHC control displays to exchange heading, navigation and autopilot data. Depending on the package, a GHC 50 or chartplotter may be used for control.
