Description
ICOM M510 Wireless Interface Box – CT-M500
The ICOM CT-M500 is an external wireless interface box designed to connect to a compatible ICOM marine VHF transceiver via Wireless LAN (WLAN) to expand the radio’s operational capabilities. Installed onboard as a dedicated interface device, the CT-M500 enables advanced wireless functionality as defined by the connected transceiver.
- Wireless LAN interface for expanding compatible ICOM transceiver functions
- IEEE 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity (2.4 GHz band)
- NMEA 2000 network connection for system integration
- External hailer audio output support
- Supplied with mounting bracket and fused DC power cable
The CT-M500 connects to the transceiver wirelessly and operates as a system expansion module rather than a standalone controller. WLAN setup, supported wireless features, and available operational functions are determined by the connected ICOM transceiver and configured through that radio’s interface.
Designed for permanent onboard installation, the unit is powered from a 13.8 V DC negative-ground system and includes an integrated NMEA 2000 connector for seamless network integration. Installation guidelines specify mounting within approximately 15 meters of the transceiver with no physical obstructions to ensure stable wireless communication.
