Description
The Garmin Reactor 40 Hydraulic Autopilot with SmartPump v2 and GHC 50 is Garmin’s premium solution for many hydraulically steered powerboats. The package combines the Reactor 40 solid-state heading system with SmartPump v2, GHC 50 touchscreen control and Shadow Drive technology, reducing the need to match a fixed-displacement pump to a narrow cylinder-volume range.
Main Features
- Complete Reactor 40 hydraulic autopilot package with SmartPump v2
- Includes GHC 50 touchscreen autopilot instrument
- SmartPump v2 adapts to a broad range of compatible hydraulic steering systems
- Shadow Drive technology automatically releases autopilot control when the helm is turned
- NMEA 2000 integration with compatible Garmin chartplotters and instruments
SmartPump v2
SmartPump v2 is designed to provide efficient hydraulic steering control across a wide range of compatible cylinder volumes and vessel configurations. It is Garmin’s recommended premium pump option for many hydraulic installations, including higher-use and demanding applications where precise steering response is important.
Course Keeping and Integration
The Reactor 40 uses a solid-state 9-axis attitude and heading reference system to react to vessel motion and maintain heading. With a compatible Garmin chartplotter and NMEA 2000 network, the system can follow supported navigation routes and place autopilot status and controls alongside other helm information.
What’s in the Box
The package includes the Reactor 40 autopilot components, SmartPump v2, GHC 50 autopilot instrument, Shadow Drive components, required system cabling/network hardware and documentation. Hydraulic hoses and vessel-specific fittings may be required separately.
