Description
The Garmin NMEA 2000 Starter Kit provides the basic hardware needed to start a properly terminated NMEA 2000 network on a boat. It is intended for installations where compatible chartplotters, instruments, sensors, autopilot components or other NMEA 2000 devices need to exchange data over a shared backbone.

A NMEA 2000 network uses a powered backbone with a terminator at each end. Individual devices connect to the backbone through T-connectors and drop cables. Additional T-connectors, drop cables or backbone sections may be required as the system grows.
