Description
The GARMIN GHC 50 is a dedicated touchscreen autopilot instrument for compatible Garmin Reactor autopilot systems. Its high-resolution display provides heading, autopilot status and steering controls in a helm format that matches modern Garmin marine electronics.
Main Features
- Dedicated control display for compatible Garmin autopilot systems
- Touchscreen helm interface with clear autopilot status
- NMEA 2000 integration
- Supports heading changes, standby/engage and compatible steering patterns
- Designed to visually integrate with modern Garmin chartplotter installations
Autopilot control
The GHC 50 provides a dedicated place to engage or place the autopilot in standby, change heading and access supported control modes without occupying a chartplotter page.
System compatibility
The display is a control component, not a complete autopilot. It requires a compatible Reactor autopilot corepack and correctly commissioned steering system.
NMEA 2000
Network integration allows heading, navigation and control data to flow among compatible Garmin equipment.
Safety
An autopilot does not replace the operator or a proper lookout. Steering response and commissioning should be verified before use offshore.
