Canada Cordage (Orion Cordage) Buoyant Polypropylene Heaving Line, 3/8″ x 100 ft – HL-3/8″X100′

Description

Canada Cordage (Orion Cordage) Buoyant Polypropylene Heaving Line, 3/8″ x 100 ft – HL-3/8″X100′ is a highly visible, buoyant polypropylene throw line intended for marine heaving and retrieval applications. The line is supplied as a complete cut length with a float spliced into one end so it can be thrown toward a person, another vessel or a dock while remaining easy to see and retrieve on the water.

• 100 ft (30.5 m) length – pre-cut marine heaving line ready for onboard use.
• 3/8″ (9.5 mm) polypropylene line – lightweight and buoyant for waterborne retrieval.
• Float spliced at one end – adds throwing mass, buoyancy and a visible target for the recipient.
• High-visibility construction – easier to locate on the water during routine or emergency use.
• Marine-purpose design – legacy Canada Cordage literature states that these heaving lines exceed pleasure-craft needs and meet commercial requirements.

A buoyant heaving line is a useful piece of onboard safety equipment for transferring a line or assisting someone in the water. For Canadian pleasure-craft compliance, confirm that the line length and configuration meet the requirement that applies to the vessel type and size; many small-craft requirements specify at least 15 m (49 ft 3 in).
