The EM-TRAK B400 is a high-powered Class B AIS transceiver designed to deliver enhanced range, reliability, and advanced AIS functionality in busy coastal waters and offshore environments. Operating at 5W using SOTDMA technology, it both transmits your vessel’s position and receives AIS data from surrounding traffic, improving visibility and situational awareness.

Designed as a self-contained AIS solution, the B400 includes an integrated colour display that allows AIS targets, vessel data, and navigation information to be viewed directly on the unit. This removes the need for a dedicated external display while still allowing full integration with chartplotters and bridge systems.
The B400 continuously broadcasts your vessel’s identity, position, course, and speed while receiving AIS transmissions from nearby vessels, including professional AIS AtoN information. Advanced filtering, collision monitoring, and alerting functions help operators manage traffic safely in congested waterways and reduced-visibility conditions.
Built for demanding marine environments, the B400 is fully waterproof and ruggedized against vibration, shock, temperature extremes, and electromagnetic interference. It is suitable for internal or permanent external installation and includes enhanced RF screening and built-in power surge protection for long-term reliability.
With integrated WiFi, the B400 can stream AIS data wirelessly to compatible displays and systems, while NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 connectivity ensures seamless integration into modern marine electronics networks.
