The SIERRA 18-0844 is a thermostat-cover gasket for a broad range of Yamaha 2-stroke outboards. It seals the thermostat housing/cover during cooling-system service and should be renewed when the cover is removed to avoid coolant leakage or air intrusion at the joint.
