Description
SIERRA Shrouded Power Trim Relay/Solenoid for Mercury and Force – 18-5852 is a replacement high-current switching component for select Mercury, MerCruiser and Force trim systems. It provides the electrical switching needed to energize the trim/tilt motor while keeping the terminal area protected by a shrouded housing.
This part should be selected by OEM interchange number rather than appearance alone. It is commonly used where the original relay/solenoid is marked 821509, 821509T01 or 853292, and is appropriate for service where the trim motor and wiring have tested correctly but relay switching is unreliable.
