The Dometic SeaStar SSCX15421 is a 21 ft (6.4 m) Xtreme rack steering cable for compatible SeaStar back-mount rack steering helms. It is a premium replacement-style cable for rack-and-pinion mechanical steering systems where lower lost motion, smoother operation, and more accurate steering response are important.

Compared with standard rack steering cables, the Xtreme design uses a tightly controlled core-to-conduit fit to reduce backlash while maintaining smooth cable movement. The outer jacket is built from abrasion-resistant HDPE for water resistance and durability, and the stainless steel output ends help protect exposed connection points in the marine environment.
