Dometic SeaStar SS13718 is an 18 foot Safe-T Quick Connect mechanical rotary steering kit for power-assisted sterndrive, inboard, and other applications where a No-Feedback steering system is not required. It is designed for single-station installations and gives a traditional, positive mechanical steering feel with quick rotary response.

The Quick Connect design is built to simplify helm-side installation: the steering cable snaps into the helm without tools, helping reduce installation time during a replacement or new rigging job. This kit is a practical choice when restoring worn mechanical steering or replacing older Safe-T style rotary systems on boats that use a standard 3/4 inch tapered steering wheel shaft.

The kit should be matched to the required cable length before installation. For steering cable replacement, measure the old cable carefully or follow the boat manufacturer's steering cable measurement method, then confirm that an 18 foot cable is correct for the vessel.
