This Dometic SeaStar hydraulic steering fitting is used when adapting or servicing SeaStar/BayStar systems that use modern O-ring boss (ORB) ports. ORB fittings seal on the O-ring rather than on pipe threads, which allows the fitting to be positioned for a cleaner hose route while helping avoid the port damage that can occur when NPT fittings are forced into -3 style helms or cylinders.

HF6004 is used where the hose needs to exit a helm or cylinder at a 90 degree angle. The elbow shape helps reduce strain in tight dashboards, splashwells, and cylinder areas where a straight fitting would create an aggressive hose bend.
