Description
POLYSTEL Polysteel Rope-Green – 7/8″X600′.
POLYSTEEL ropes are crafted from a copolymer blend of polypropylene and polyethylene fibers, offering exceptional strength and durability. These ropes are nearly three times stronger than high-quality manila rope and twice as strong as standard polypropylene rope, while being significantly lighter for easier handling. Polysteel ropes resist rot, mildew, acids, and alkalis, unlike manila rope, which can weaken rapidly under adverse conditions. They maintain consistent strength regardless of moisture levels and do not harden with age. Featuring superior abrasion resistance and excellent shock load tolerance, Polysteel ropes outperform both manila and polypropylene ropes. Though initially slightly stiff when uncoiled, Polysteel ropes become highly pliable in use, developing a soft, silky “fuzz” after running over sheaves, enhancing their handling qualities. With a specific gravity of 0.92, these ropes combine lightweight functionality with unmatched resilience.
Key Features:
- Superior Strength: Nearly three times the strength of manila rope and twice that of polypropylene rope, offering exceptional performance in demanding applications.
- Lightweight and Easy to Handle: Polysteel ropes are significantly lighter than alternatives, making them easier to manage.
- Resistance to Environmental Factors: Unlike manila rope, Polysteel resists rot, mildew, acids, and alkalis and retains strength even when wet or dry.
- Durability and Pliability: Excellent abrasion resistance and shock load tolerance; becomes soft and pliable in use for improved handling.
- Enhanced Handling Characteristics: Develops a silky surface after brief use, unlike the coarse and slippery texture of polypropylene ropes.
