PERKO Figure 0493 1-1/4 in. Bronze Intake Water Strainer – 493-007-PLB
The PERKO Figure 0493 intake strainer protects engine-cooling, generator, air-conditioning and other raw-water systems by trapping debris before it reaches pumps and heat exchangers. A clear cylinder makes basket condition and water flow easy to inspect.
Product Details
- Female 1-1/4 in. NPT inlet and outlet connections for raw-water plumbing.
- Cast-bronze top and bottom castings with mounting lugs on both sides for flexible installation orientation.
- Clear polycarbonate cylinder allows visual inspection without opening the strainer.
- 316 stainless-steel basket minimizes galvanic interaction and uses 0.079-inch perforations with approximately 47% open area.
- Basket open-area-to-pipe-size ratio is 13:1.
- Four external tie rods keep metal hardware outside the water path and retain the cylinder assembly.
- Hinged cover lugs allow the cover and basket to be removed for cleaning without fully disassembling the body.
- A 1/4-inch NPT bronze drain plug in the bottom casting supports sediment removal and winterizing.
- Compatible mounting bracket: 0493067BKT.
- Use 0493DP799M or 0493DP799R; select cork for older models or rubber for newer models according to the original gasket material.
