OCEAN SIGNAL rescueME MOB1 AIS Man Overboard Beacon with DSC – 740S-01551
The Ocean Signal rescueME MOB1 is a compact personal man overboard beacon designed to quickly alert the wearer’s vessel and other nearby AIS-equipped vessels after a person falls overboard. When correctly installed inside a compatible inflatable lifejacket, the MOB1 automatically deploys and activates as the lifejacket inflates.

Once activated, the MOB1 transmits an AIS target carrying its unique identification number and current GPS position. The target can be displayed on compatible onboard chartplotters and AIS receivers, allowing the vessel’s crew to track the person in the water and begin recovery immediately.
The MOB1 can also be programmed with the vessel’s MMSI number so that it sends a DSC distress relay to a compatible VHF radio. Available DSC functions vary by country and receiving-radio compatibility.
This is a local AIS and DSC locating beacon. It does not transmit a 406 MHz distress alert through the Cospas-Sarsat satellite network.
