The Powrtran TAILFIN 8001 Kicker Steering System provides remote steering control for auxiliary outboard motors, allowing you to steer your kicker motor from anywhere in the boat. Designed for closed-throttle cruising and trolling, the TAILFIN is well suited for fishing applications where steady tracking and precise steering adjustments are important.

The TAILFIN system features a quick-disconnect aluminum linkage arm, an internally sealed electric motor, and a ballscrew actuator housed in a stainless-steel tube. Steer time is adjustable down to just under 2 seconds lock-to-lock, referring to the travel of the TAILFIN system itself. Because the actuator has fixed travel, it may not provide full outboard steering swing on every installation.
For outboards without a steering tube or tilt tube, Powrtran notes that the optional STK-100 steer tube kit may be required.
