The Actisense OPTO-4 provides a compact and protected way to connect an NMEA 0183 or RS422 system to a computer or device with a standard 9-pin RS232 serial port. Galvanic opto-isolation protects the receiving equipment from ground-loop currents, while output spike suppression adds protection to the transmitting side.
