Description
The GARMIN GFS 10 is a marine fuel-flow sensor for compatible Garmin/NMEA 2000 systems. It measures fuel flow so a connected display can calculate consumption and help the operator monitor fuel use more accurately than relying on tank level alone.
Main Features
- Measures fuel flow for compatible marine engines
- NMEA 2000-compatible Garmin system integration
- Supports fuel-consumption and economy calculations on compatible displays
- Useful complement to tank-level information
- Designed for marine fuel-system installation within Garmin specifications
Fuel management
Flow-based fuel use can provide a useful picture of consumption and efficiency. Accuracy depends on correct installation, calibration and operation within the sensor’s rated flow range.
Display integration
Compatible Garmin chartplotters/instruments can use the sensor data to show flow rate, used fuel and related economy calculations.
Installation
Fuel-system work requires correct hose, fittings, filtration and leak checking. Follow Garmin and engine-manufacturer requirements.
Limitations
The sensor does not replace proper fuel-level monitoring or prudent reserve planning.
What’s in the Box
