ALEXANDER-ROBERTS Marine Swage Eye 5/16″ Wire, 1/2″ Pin – ME-10. is a heavy-pattern 316 stainless steel machine-swage terminal for 5/16″ sailboat standing-rigging wire with a 1/2″ clevis-pin opening.

Features

Marine eyes use a thicker head and generally larger pin geometry than the aircraft-type eye series for a given wire diameter. They are commonly selected at mastheads, headstays and backstays where the mating toggle, fork, turnbuckle or tang requires the larger eye pattern. This fitting must be professionally machine swaged; verify wire size, pin diameter and mating-hardware geometry before installation.

For 5/16" wire, Alexander-Roberts offers both a 1/2" pin version (ME-10) and a 5/8" pin version (ME-10S). The wire size is the same, but the eye/pin interface is not interchangeable unless the mating hardware matches.
