- Mounting-hole center spacing is 4.3″ (10.92 cm).
- Drill the two required mounting holes with standard drill bits; no large deck opening is required.
- Use suitable backing/support and marine-appropriate fasteners for the deck construction and the loads expected at the cleat.
INDEPENDENT LOAD-TEST DATA
- In 2025, IMANNA Laboratory tested representative samples to failure under ABYC H-40:2024 Section 40.6.2.
- Recorded peak-load range: 8,195-8,755 lbf.
- Average recorded peak load: 8,483 lbf.
- Failure mode in the referenced test samples was the mounting fasteners; the fasteners failed before the cleat body.
- Important: These are destructive test-to-failure values, not a published safe working load or working-load limit. Actual installation strength depends on fasteners, backing, deck structure, installation quality, load direction, and vessel application.
CARE
- Rinse regularly with fresh water and after each exposure to salt water.
- Periodically wipe the stainless-steel surfaces with a clean, soft cloth.
