The Victron Energy Smart BatteryProtect 12/24V 100A is a Bluetooth-enabled low-voltage disconnect designed to protect batteries from excessive discharge. It automatically disconnects non-essential DC loads before the battery is drained too far or before there is insufficient power left to start an engine, helping extend battery life and improve system reliability.

This Smart BatteryProtect model automatically detects 12V or 24V system voltage and can be programmed wirelessly using the VictronConnect app. Custom engage and disengage voltage levels can be set by Bluetooth, or one of nine predefined programs can be selected using the programming pin. The remote on/off input can also be used as a system switch, making it useful for boats, RVs, cabins, service vehicles, trailers, vans, and off-grid DC systems.

The Smart BatteryProtect is a uni-directional device and is designed for current flow in one direction only, from the IN terminal to the OUT terminal. It can be used either with loads or with a charger, but not with load and charge current flowing through the same unit at the same time. It is also not intended to be connected directly to the DC input of an inverter or inverter/charger due to high inrush currents.
