Description

SIERRA Idle Speed Control Motor for MerCruiser MPI – 18-7701 is a replacement idle-speed control motor for select MerCruiser MPI engines using the ECM 555 engine-management platform. It meters bypass air at idle so the ECM can maintain commanded idle speed as load and engine temperature change.

The unit is supplied with its gasket and fits applications including MCM 3.0L MPI and selected V6/V8 MPI engines. Because similar-looking idle-air motors are used on different calibrations, engine family and OEM number should be confirmed before replacement.
