This Dometic SeaStar hydraulic steering fitting is used when adapting or servicing SeaStar/BayStar systems that use modern O-ring boss (ORB) ports. ORB fittings seal on the O-ring rather than on pipe threads, which allows the fitting to be positioned for a cleaner hose route while helping avoid the port damage that can occur when NPT fittings are forced into -3 style helms or cylinders.

HF6009 is a straight hydraulic steering fitting used when a direct, in-line hose or tube exit is preferred from a -5 ORB port. It is suitable for installations with enough clearance for a straight run and avoids the bend geometry of elbow fittings.
