This Dometic SeaStar hydraulic steering fitting is used when adapting or servicing SeaStar/BayStar systems that use modern O-ring boss (ORB) ports. ORB fittings seal on the O-ring rather than on pipe threads, which allows the fitting to be positioned for a cleaner hose route while helping avoid the port damage that can occur when NPT fittings are forced into -3 style helms or cylinders.

HF6003 is intended for bleeding and connecting SeaStar/Teleflex hydraulic steering cylinders that use -5 ORB ports. It is a service/installation fitting for systems where the cylinder fitting must provide a hose connection and bleeder point at the cylinder.
