Description
The Garmin Reactor 40 Kicker Autopilot with GHC 50 is designed specifically for compatible small gasoline kicker outboards used for trolling and auxiliary propulsion. It can automatically steer the kicker and adjust throttle so the boat can maintain a heading or follow supported navigation routes while the operator focuses on fishing and boat handling.
Main Features
- Purpose-built autopilot for compatible small gasoline kicker outboards
- Includes GHC 50 touchscreen autopilot instrument
- Automatic steering and throttle control for supported kicker installations
- Includes a floating handheld remote for control away from the helm
- NMEA 2000 integration with compatible Garmin chartplotters and navigation systems
Trolling and Route Control
The Reactor 40 Kicker can help hold course against wind, current and waves while trolling. Supported installations allow fine throttle adjustments and quick reduction to idle speed when landing a fish. When connected to compatible Garmin navigation equipment, the autopilot can also follow supported routes and navigation commands.
Compatibility
Garmin designs the Reactor 40 Kicker system for compatible small gasoline outboards. Motor brand, model, horsepower, throttle arrangement and steering hardware must be checked against Garmin’s current compatibility guide. Some engines require model-specific adapter kits.
What’s in the Box
The system includes the Reactor 40 Kicker control components, steering actuator, throttle actuator, GHC 50 autopilot instrument, floating handheld remote, required system cabling/network components and documentation. Motor-specific adapters may be required separately.
