Description

ACR Electronics GlobalFix V5 AIS EPIRB, Category II Manual Release, Canada – 2852.63

The ACR Electronics GlobalFix V5 AIS is a Canada-programmed Category II Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon for recreational and commercial vessels. It sends a 406 MHz distress alert and encoded identity through the global Cospas-Sarsat satellite system while providing features intended to help rescuers confirm and refine the beacon position.

  • An integrated AIS transmitter broadcasts the beacon position to nearby AIS-equipped vessels and rescue craft.
  • Return Link Service provides a visual indication when the distress message has been received through the satellite system.
  • NFC connectivity works with the ACR mobile app to review self-test history, GNSS test results and beacon status.
  • GPS, Galileo and GLONASS positioning supports fast and accurate location data.
  • A 121.5 MHz homing signal and both visible and infrared strobes assist rescuers during final approach.
  • Quick-release manual mounting bracket.
