Description
3M Perfect-It Wool Compounding Pad, 05753, is a high performance, double-sided, wool compounding pad designed to refine P1200 and finer sand scratches and other paint surface defects. It features a quick connect design and is intended for use with 3M™ Compounds and 3M™ Quick Release Applicator, 05752.
3M™ Perfect-It™ Wool Compounding Pads handle better than flat foam pads, meaning the operator gains a smoother and more controlled application. Wool glides easily over panels, whether flat or contoured. Spurring the wool fibres each morning before the first use restores performance. Compound with the pad flat against the part for a more even application and to reduce slinging.

For use on gelcoat that is heavily UV beaten. For best results, follow these steps. | Step 1: Cleaning Clean the gelcoat surface to be repaired with 3M Perfect-It Boat Wash. | ' |

 | Step3: Sand Scratch Refinement Refine the 800 grit sand scratch with a 1500 grit sandpaper with a dual action sander running the sander at a speed of 900 - 1100 RPM Max.  | Step 5: Polishing (Optional) Polish gelcoat with 3M Finesse-It II Glaze and with a yellow wool buffing pad. Set the buffer speed to between 1200 - 2000 RPM Max. | ' |
 | Step 6: Protection Apply 3M Perfect-It Boat Wax to protect the surface. When applying wax, apply in a 2' x 2' area and wipe area clean before wax dries.
